Skiing and Snowboarding – With 16 ski resorts and thousands of acres of back country skiing, Montana has become known for 20-inch dumps in 24 hours followed by blue bird skies. While the rest of the state begins to enjoy spring, skiers and snowboarders can still find powder well into April!
Snowmobiling – Montana is home to some of the longest trails in the country, so channel your inner sleadneck and take advantage of the thousands of miles of open space and dozens of trails to explore in Montana.
Fishing - With four million acres of coldwater lakes, 15,000 miles of coldwater streams, and 6,100 miles of warm-water rivers and streams, Montana is a fisherman’s paradise. With so much good fishing, that special spot or money bucket has yet to be discovered, so come find it!
Golf – Like golf, but don’t like waiting in line to tee off? Then Montana is for you, boasting over 90 courses across the state and Beaverhead Golf Course located just outside of Dillon, there are plenty of chances to work on your game.
Horseback Riding – Montana’s thousands of miles of beautiful back country offers something for every rider. Whether you’re an experienced rider, or are looking to fulfill your dream of getting in the saddle for the first time, there is something exciting for you to explore in Montana.
College Towns – The hip and happening university towns of Bozeman and Missoula offering an eclectic mix of artists, celebrities, cowboys, intelligentsia, independent coffee houses along with old lumber, ranching, and farming families, proving that there is something for everybody in Montana.
Hiking and Camping - Hiking is abundant in Dillon and all around Montana. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest right in our backyard is great for hiking and camping. With 3.22 million acres, there is an extensive trail network. You can even do a multi-day hike along the Lolo Trail, part of Lewis and Clark's historic journey across Montana.
