The property, accessed via county-maintained roads, has no covenants, and phone and electricity are nearby. Take your horses for a run through the wide open spaces. Enjoy amazing views of the Tendoy Mountain Range, as you hike, camp, picnic, fish or just take in the clean, cool mountain air. The Red Rock River, Clark Canyon Reservoir, and the Beaverhead River are nearby for boating, camping, and swimming, as well as ice and fly fishing.

This portion of Southwest Montana also offers rich history of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Lewis saw the expedition’s first Indian in Montana in the Horse Prairie Valley. In need of horses to continue over the Continental Divide, he and three men had gone ahead of the group to scout for the Shoshone. As it turns out, Sacajawea recognized the chief of the Shoshone as her brother. The Corps of Discovery was able to trade for 24 horses and continued over Lemhi Pass and the Continental Divide.
